Mentoring our students: April 1 & 2, 2014

Albuquerque’s Heads Up landscaping business owner Gary Mallory, Andrew Key (president), and Eddie Padilla (VP-marketing), variously met with COB faculty, staff, and students:

  • Met with Rick Adkisson, Ken Martin, Steve Elias and Anthony Casaus on April 1 to discuss recruitment of COB students in accounting, marketing, finance and economics for summer internships.
  • Discussed student internship opportunities with the College Executive Committee on April 2.
  • Spoke to COB Student Ambassadors as well as to students in Steve Elias’s Management 470-Project Management class.
  • Met with Kevin Melendrez, Steve Elias, Anthony Casaus, and Richard Pratt (Horticulture Department) to discuss student internships for business and horticulture majors.

Jessica Lin (operations support manager, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas) and Lupe Mares-Edens (manager-public affairs, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas-El Paso Branch) spoke to students in ECON 304, as well as to students in NMSU’s Financial Management Association chapter on April 2. Lin (’10), a COB alumna, double majored in finance and economics.
